VISIT PHILADELPHIA is currently searching for a Diverse Marketing Coordinator to join the team.
Position
The Diverse Marketing Coordinator at Visit Philadelphia supports the Director of Diverse Marketing in crafting and executing marketing strategies aimed at engaging diverse visitors and residents, including Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, AAPI, and LGBTQ+ communities. This role encompasses supporting coordination, research, and collaboration to ensure the successful implementation of inclusive marketing initiatives. The Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Diverse Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for diverse marketing projects – such as cultural heritage months, marketing activations, and community events – in collaboration with the project management team.
- Assist the Director of Diverse Marketing with marketing approaches to attract diverse audiences, promote diverse landmarks and attractions, and support local diverse businesses and communities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Diverse Marketing, research team, and agency partners to gather insights on diverse geographic markets and cultural nuances to drive informed creative development.
- Spearhead the coordination of Visit Philadelphia’s podcast, Love + Grit, overseeing thematic development, guest selection and scheduling, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective promotion.
- Represent the organization at events and meetings related to diverse attractions, activities, restaurants, and other offerings.
- Act as a point of contact between community organizations and marketing partners to facilitate engagement and strengthen strategic partnerships.
- Represent the Director of Diverse Marketing, in their absence, at internal meetings, and provide comprehensive summaries of key discussions and action items.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related field.

- Strong research, communication, and note-taking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to attend occasional events after work hours and on weekends.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and cultures.
Key Technical Skills or Applications:
- Experience with Google Suite, Box, Microsoft Office, Monday.com, and Slack are a plus.
